Background

Parts of this practice have been adapted from the "Adequacy Verification fragment" that is part of ADELFE:
Cossentino, M. & Seidita, V. (2005), SPEM Description of ADELFE Process, Technical Report, Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche - Istituto di Calcolo e Reti ad Alte Prestazioni (ICAR-CNR), Sede di Palermo Viale delle Scienze edificio 11 90128 Palermo. RT-ICAR-PA-05-07.

Main Description
It is not always sensible to employ multi-agent techniques in the design and implementation even of a complex system. This practice provides guidance for the decision whether or not an agent-oriented software engineering approach and the use of a multi-agent system is a good choice based on information early on in the requirements analysis and using criteria that can be evaluated on the basis of a coarse description of the system goals and properties.
