Main Description

The Foundation for Intelligent Physical Agents (FIPA) provides a number of protocol specifications that can be useful when deciding for interaction protocols. These specifications can be found at http://www.fipa.org/repository/ips.php3.

The specifications contain protocols for different requirements, ranging from simple queries to complex auction or negotiation protocols. In combination with a well-defined agent communication language (ACL), these protocols form the basis of the most common forms of interactions in MAS.
