Term Definition: Sprint Task
Main Description
The Sprint Backlog is made up of a list of tasks that the team needs to work through to complete the Product Backlog Items that they committed to at the start of the Sprint. The Sprint tasks have attributes to show the responsible team member, the state of the task (i.e. not started, in progress, impeded or done) and the amount of time left to complete the task.

Sprint tasks are the smallest level of work represented in either of the backlogs and refer to work that can usually be done within a work day. The Scrum Team can also choose to use more fine-grained tasks if that suits their working style better.
